Sixes Lacrosse is a variant of field lacrosse that will be played at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. As the name implies, the game is played six on six with each team having five field players and one goalie on the field at a time

No, men’s “D-poles” are not allowed in sixes lacrosse. All field players will use a stick of the same length.

Yes, individual players are encouraged to sign up.

Each league is different. Some only allow individual players whereas others allow and even offer discounts for teams or groups. Please contact the League director for more information

For girls, the only required equipment is a stick, mouth guard and goggles. For boys, a stick, mouth guard, helmet, chest pad, elbow pads and gloves are all required. Cleats are recommended for all players as well.

There are numerous benefits to playing sixes lacrosse. For one, the game is faster with less downtime, a smaller field and smaller roster sizes. All of which adds up to more touches and reps for the players.

While there is no rule that players must be registered with USAL we do recommend that all players be registered with USAL. In the near future all players will need to be USAL members in order to participate.
